1. Who We Are

Neev Gifting ("we," "us," "our") is an individual-owned gifting business based in Surat, Gujarat, India, offering personalized gifting products including 999/German silver items, imported gift items, festive, wedding, and corporate gifts. Our website is a product catalogue and enquiry platform only. We do not process online payments, and no payment gateway is integrated into this website. All orders are confirmed and paid for directly and offline, through communication with our team.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide to us

• When you use "Add to Cart" and click "Checkout via WhatsApp," the product name(s), quantity, and whether the item is marked as a "Bulk Order" are sent as a message to our WhatsApp Business number (+91 97129 79856). No payment or card details are ever requested or collected.
• Before checkout, you are required to tick a consent checkbox confirming you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, and that your order details will be shared with us via WhatsApp. We do not process your cart enquiry without this consent.
• When you fill out our Contact Us form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), occasion, budget range, quantity required, and your message. This information is transmitted to our WhatsApp number when you submit the form; it is not stored on any server or database by the Website itself.
• If you contact us directly via WhatsApp, phone, or email, we receive whatever information you choose to share with us (e.g., name, delivery address, order requirements) as part of that conversation.

b) Information collected automatically

• We use our own analytics system (built on Firebase Firestore) to record anonymous usage events: "Add to Cart" actions and WhatsApp button clicks. These records include only the product/category name, event type, source, and date/timestamp — no name, email, phone number, or IP address is captured in these analytics events.
• Our Website supports offline browsing using your browser's Cache Storage (via a service worker), which saves previously visited pages locally on your device. See our Cookie & Local Storage Policy for details.
• Our hosting provider (Vercel) and any content delivery network may automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and access times) for security and performance purposes, as is standard practice for any website.
• We do not use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking or advertising script on this Website.

We do not collect any sensitive personal data as defined under the SPDI Rules, 2011 (such as passwords, financial information, health data, or biometric data), through this Website.

3. Purpose of Collection & Consent

We collect your personal information only with your knowledge, and only to:

• Respond to your product enquiry or Contact Us submission
• Discuss pricing, availability, customization, and delivery once you reach out
• Fulfil confirmed orders, including shipping and customer support
• Share updates about new collections or offers, only if you have separately opted in (e.g., asked us to add you on WhatsApp broadcast)

By ticking the consent checkbox and clicking "Checkout via WhatsApp," or by submitting our Contact Us form, you consent to the transmission of the entered information to our WhatsApp Business number for the purpose of processing your enquiry.

4. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only with:

• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — since your enquiry/cart details are transmitted via WhatsApp's platform, which has its own privacy policy
• Shipping/courier partners, only to the extent necessary to deliver a confirmed order
• Government or law enforcement authorities, where required under applicable Indian law
• Service providers who help us run the Website (e.g., Vercel for hosting, Google Firebase for our internal analytics database and admin login)

5. Data Security

As required under Section 43A of the IT Act, 2000 and the SPDI Rules, 2011, we implement reasonable security practices to protect the limited information we handle, including restricted, authenticated access to our internal analytics dashboard. Since no payment or card data is ever collected through the Website, that specific risk does not arise. However, no method of electronic transmission (including WhatsApp) is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

Contact form and cart-enquiry data is not stored in any database by the Website — it exists only as a WhatsApp message, retained per WhatsApp's own retention practices and our internal WhatsApp Business records for as long as necessary for customer service and legal/accounting purposes (generally up to 8 years, in line with Indian tax recordkeeping norms). Our internal Firebase analytics data (add-to-cart and WhatsApp click counts) is retained only in aggregate, anonymous form, and does not identify any individual.

7. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

• Request access to personal information we hold about you
• Request correction or updating of inaccurate information
• Request erasure of your personal information, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements
• Withdraw consent at any time (after which we will stop using your information for that purpose)
• Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below)

8. Third-Party Links

Our Website links to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Google Maps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party platforms — please review their respective privacy policies separately.

9. Children's Privacy

This Website is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in law or our practices. The updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
